Body Discovered at Allentown 2nd Alarm Apartment Fire

Around 0330 hrs Allentown Firefighters are sent to the 2400 Blk of S 4th St for an apartment fire, crews arrive and quickly call a working fire. As crews search the fire building the body of a male is found inside the building, as fire spread takes the roof crews hit the evacuation tones and strike a 2nd alarm. Truck 2 is put into service with master stream and the fire is darkened down, crews return to the interior with hand lines to finish off the fire. The Coroner is called to the scene and Allentown Police take the investigation of the deceased individual which does not appear to be a fire related death. We will have more information when it is released, the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire..
