Crews from the City of Easton and Lehigh County Special Ops responded to Route 22 this morning for a reported chemical spill on the roadway. Crews arrived and set a safe area to operate to determine what the chemical was and work on clean up of the substance. The highway was closed in both directions during the duration of the incident and was reopened to traffic later in the afternoon.
