Allentown Strikes 2nd Alarm + Special Call on the Dwelling Fire


Around 1030 hrs Allentown Fire Department was dispatched for a reported house fire, Engine 14 was first due and arrived and reported heavy smoke showing and declaring the working fire. Crews stretched multiple lines and started to open up with fire quickly extending throughout the residence. A second alarm was struck when fire started to break through the roof of the building as crews were ventilating. The Battalion Chief eventually pulls the plug on interior operations and sets up master streams on the fire. A special Call was placed for an additional engine for manpower and the fire was placed under control in a couple of hours........
