Around 1000 hrs on Friday the 31st of May Fire and EMS Units are dispatched to Ungerer and Company on Commerce Way in Hanover Twp Northampton County for a reported Explosion with Fire. While responding crews are advised of several injuries and multiple calls being received, a full 1st alarm with additional EMS Units is requested to the scene. Units arrive and they have an active chemical fire inside the building EMS treat and transport two employees to a local hospital for decontamination and treatment. Hazmat crews from Lehigh County are brought in to determine chemicals and assist with decon of firefighters at the scene, Rehab is requested do to extreme heat. Units are on location for several hours and clear with out any further incident...
