Allentown Puts All Hands In Service on Linden St Job


 Just before 1500 hrs Allentown Firefighters were sent to the area of 4th and Linden for a reported house fire, just after dispatched Allentown Medic 100 (Gratz) arrived on location reporting a working fire with people bailing out of the structure. First arriving units report heavy fire from the first floor and stretch into the building, crews search the 2nd and 3rd floors for any occupants. As crews check the 2nd floor it lights off and an additional line is stretched and Battalion 43 Request another Engine to the scene. Crews end up stretching a 3rd line to the 3rd floor for fire extension while truck crews open up the roof a 4th line is eventually stretched into the building. the fire is brought under control in about 45 minutes and the fire marshals office is currently investigating..
