Allentown Strikes 2nd Alarm on Highrise Apartment Fire
Late Monday Morning Allentown Firefighters are dispatched to the 900 Blk of Hamilton St for an apartment building fire, crews arrive to a 6 story structure with heavy smoke condition on the 3rd floor and strike the 2nd alarm. Crews work on evacuating the building while APD Officers Make a grab out a 3rd floor window in the rear of the building, about 2 dozen people are cleared from the building while interior crews make a hit on a middle apartment on the 3rd floor. Once the crews put water on the fire it is quickly brought under control and smoke is cleared from the building. All searches for residence turn up negative and the fire is placed under control in about an hour, the Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
