Late Thursday Afternoon Crews from Bucks County Station 56 were dispatched to Rt 309 and Pumping Station Rd for an accident with rescue. Once on scene they had a collision between a tractor trailer and a pick-up truck sending the pick-up into a retention pond trapping one person. Crews extricated the patient and he was flown to a local trauma center in critical condition, Units from Bucks Station 17 and Lehigh County Station 4 assisted at the scene with traffic control and a large diesel fuel spill, Rt309 was cut down to one lane for most of the day for the investigation.
