Sandy Takes Aim at Roofs Numerous People Displaced
One of the Biggest Responses in the Valley During Supertorm Sand was for structural damage, and that damage came in the way of roofing being blown away. Front Street in Allentown was one of the harder hit streets where in one block 7 residences had substantial roof damage, it was so bad that the people that lived there were forced to evacuated the properties. Allentown firefighters along with building inspectors surveyed the damage done to the building from Truck 2 while engine 13 and Engine 6 made sure all residence were out safely. Units operated at this scene for a little over an hour in time before moving on to the next incident.
